MOUNTAIN VIEW - Safety officials are urging attendees at the Beyond Wonderland two-day electronic dance music festival at Mountain View's Shoreline Amphitheater this weekend to stay safe. The show, produced by Insomniac Events, is returning to the Bay Area for a second year this Saturday and Sunday, but health and safety officials are concerned about drug use. Drugs, such as MDMA, meth, ketamine and LSD, are common "party" drugs and can lead to overdose. Safety officials are also advising attendees about the dangers of mixing drugs with alcohol. Officials are reminding anyone who needs help at the festival to call 911. Police can also be alerted through Twitter and Instagram at @mountainviewpd using the hashtags MVPD or MVPDBW13. The Mountain View police emergency line is (650) 903-6922. Anonymous texts can be sent to 274637 and must include mvtips in the body of the message. If cell reception is spotty, festivalgoers are encouraged to find a uniformed officer or event personnel to report an emergency. More information about substance abuse is available at the Santa Clara Valley Department of Alcohol and Drugs at http://www.sccgov.org/sites/dads. The music festival features popular DJs including Avicii, Ben Benassi, David Guetta, Tiesto, and Calvin Harris. The event will also have carnival rides, vendors and art installations on the grounds near the music stages. Tickets for the two-day event start at $139.
